WHERE IT STARTED

George’s story begins in 1954, on a quiet afternoon in his grandfather’s workshop. As a boy, he would watch in fascination as his grandfather, a skilled jeweler, shaped raw silver and gold into beautiful rings and bracelets.

The way his hands moved with precision, never rushed, treating each piece as if it were the most important one he’d ever made.

That evening was the moment George knew he wanted to create jewelry, not just for its beauty, but for the joy it could bring to him and others.

A NEW PASSION

Years later in 1959, while wandering through a small antique shop, he spotted an old, broken pocket watch. It no longer ticked, but something about it drew him in.

He bought it with the little money he had and spent weeks carefully taking it apart, studying every tiny gear and spring.

When he finally put it back together and heard the soft, rhythmic ticking, he felt something stir inside him. That sound, the heartbeat of time itself was mesmerizing. From that moment on, he knew this was his new passion.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Jewelry and watchmaking became his life. Each day in his small workshop, he poured his heart into crafting delicate rings, strong yet elegant chains and watches.

More than anything, he loved seeing people wear his creations, knowing that a piece of his work would be part of their lives. He then started his own shop, and that was the moment when "George Jewels" was born.

Now, after 66 years of dedication, George is preparing to close his workshop, together with his webshop. His hands are slower, but his passion remains as strong as ever. Before he steps away, he wants to share his final collection with those who appreciate true craftsmanship.
